Bruneton C.E.P.M., UER de Médecine et de Pharmacie, Angers, France Recommend Article Abstract PDF Download(opens in new window) Buy Article(opens in new window) Abstract Six alkaloids are isolated from roots and stem barks of D. tholonii (Dioncophyllaceae): triphyophylline, isotriphyo-phylline, 8 O-methyl tetradehydrotri-phyophylline, N-methyl triphyophylline triphyopeltine and 5 -O-methyl-triphyo-peltine; the latters two are novel (hydro-xy-2-methyl naphthalene) tetrahydroiso-quinolins. β-sitosterol, plumbagone and 4, 8-dihydroxy 3-methyl tetralone have been also isolated.
